Don't the accounts refer to his period in control of the club so the best man to answer the many questions ? You can't expect the family to know what went on do you ?

Just spotted Darrell Clarke being interviewed on West Country News Tv at the Cheltenham races. Will he get back for the AGM question and answer session ?

There appeared to be no hidden agendas on display.
There was barely an empty seat in the room.
It was rather strange to see the old guard swept away from the top table, there were none of the previous board present (except for Ken Masters and BSS), only Mr Watola was there as a reminder of the previous regime.
Main highlights from tonight was the positive noises made around the new stadium. It is apparent that they are looking at everything with fresh pairs of eyes. Most encouraging was the fact that they are looking at income streams generated on non match days and how to maximise them. The most positive thing was that this will flow back into Bristol Rovers. There was no doubt about that at all. Don't ask me about time scales I couldn't really take that in. A question was asked about safe standing but it was explained that there were the constraints in place set by the football authorities. The future proofing of the stadium was seen as important to enable possible expansion. It was important to learn from other recent stadium developments looking at both positive and negative aspects.
The four members of the Al Qadi family hold equal shares in the holding company that holds the 92% in the Football Club.
It is still very early days in terms of determining the future direction of the football club, the chairman pointed out that it was only 15 working days that the new board had been in control.
The SC directors were invited to speak about their roles following my question about their future which I thought was quite refreshing and a departure from previous meetings
Darrell Clarke made it back from Cheltenham and was in good form.
I enjoyed the positive vibe, the previous gloom and feeling that everyone on the top table would rather be somewhere else was gone. It would have been very easy to have referenced the past and put the boot in but that didn't seem to be the right thing to do.
That's my thoughts others may remember other bits.
One thing did cross my mind at the close of the meeting and that is that I really cannot see why Geoff Dunford cannot now be made a vice-president. This would draw a further line under what has gone on before. BSS did reference Kevin's banning order (which he made clear that he supported at the time it was served) and said that there were others (I was unaware of this) that he felt should now be looked at with a view to lifting them.

With a fair wind, we could be in UWE by the start of the 2018/2019 season. This is based on a 28 month period of negotiations with UWE, planning authorities and build. Naming rights are being investigated as are increased land for the UWE site and whether leasehold or freehold will provide best value. Negotiations with UWE so far positive.
DC has belief in his squad but would like to get one loan signing in but not concerned of that does not happen. On contracts he said that he had a meeting with the squad before the Barnet game and said that they will be rewarded if they get us promoted. He asked SH for a pay rise.

I would not expect either our Chairman or manager to divulge that information.

I would not expect either our Chairman or manager to divulge that information. I found the openness and willingness to communicate with those at the meeting very refreshing. We were given the impression of people totally in command of their brief, what was being said was credible and backed by previous delivery of a much larger project. We are now relying on our own people to deliver the new stadium not the actions of others. We have people who seem to understand the importance of developing relationships and sustaining them..........
