burn the toast this morning did we!!! No, my morning toast, toasted correctly, not burned in an Argos Econo toaster, and spread with a generous topping of St Dalfour Rhapsidie de Fruit Blackcurrant was delicious, washed down with a cup of black Medium Roast filter. The issue is the people who seem to think we have just won the World Cup and are running around in circles with their little todgers out. Sadly for them, here's the reality, we have a manager who got us relegated out of the entire League, he couldn't manage 90th position, now, along with his assistant, (who it's worth noting is vastly more experienced), we are towards the top of a division in which a third of the teams aren't even full time we are told that we should celebrate. No thanks, when we are back in the 3rd division it will be time to pat backs and congratulate people, until then all we are doing is taking the first steps towards putting right the disaster concocted by the board, Ward and Clarke. perhaps you should have then..... as it is we[BRFC] are where we are, its relevant to the fact that the past 7/9 years have been dire and this is aligned to the inept handling of this football club, but being on the brink of regaining FL status is something to be just a tad cheery about surely?.....and as for St Dalfour Rhapsidie, never knew he existed. is he available in Lidl or Aldi?

By all means celebrate mediocrity, if that's what makes you happy. I would rather demand a bit more than that. Getting out of this park team division is the first step. Dealing with dross like Accrington Stanley and Daggenham & Redbridge is next. St Dalfour Rhapsidie de Fruit available from Tesco, home delivery available if 0.45 miles along Kellaway Ave is too far to expect a customer to have to go to a supermarket But remember to buy a toaster as well, not a cheap appliance that just scorches the outside of your bread. Enjoy.

....and all the doubters? We have gone on a remarkable unbeaten run. Some, not perfect results, some well deserved. A long way to go. Come on, a great result, one some of you were waiting for us to lose, so where can you give credit today, if you consider yourself Gas? Go on, I dare you....give credit where its due...? Care to list those people waiting for us to lose? You obviously have a list of them & aren't just talking bollocks.

I am critical when need be, we aren't the finished article by any means. I was at Braintree where we lacked any fight or punch (apart from blackthorn b) and was just as passionate about things that were wrong then, as much as things that are right now. It's about being balanced and seeing things the way things are. So, you watch your way and I'll watch mine, and credit where it's due. Yesterday was a good result by a well orchestrated, organised team against decent opponents. Folk quick to criticise, fair enough, why can't folk be quick to compliment? If you care to disagree, please do?

I do disagree with a number of posters on here who keep trying to divide the fanbase though but I usually find simple questions stump them.

I won't further divide the fanbase, but as the title remains unanswered with a simple question, I guess coastalgas is indeed stumped..

Nope here goes someone, like yourself, making groundless accusations again. As I said simple questions usually stump those posters. How many did you manage to name? Two wasn't it? Perhaps if you don't like my response don't post rubbish in the first place.

By the by, If it really bothers you that much, take a little wander back to August/September and you will find what you want. Continue to trawl through up until today and you will still find what you want/ wont believe what is in front of your own eyes.

The idea countygroundgas, was to give a chance to give credit where it's due (you know that), not to name and shame everyone whom has been critical. I'm sure many of us have been critical, certainly when necessary. If coastalgas can come on any forum (not just this thread) and stand up and applaud or give a positive retort, fair play. We've done really well and I'm celebrating our win, absolutely fantastic return and continue our support. What's wrong with praising all concerned? Or....lie dormant and raise a critical, negative post at the appropriate time (as I'm sure there will be). Everyone can make their own mind up where they wanna be..

Oh put your bollocks back into your pants. The manager and team deserve all the credit due to them for a decent run. Real success will be ending this b****** period of being known across the footballing world as a non league football club. Exactly that. But I would go one further, the job isn't done until we are back at our historical level and where we were when Higgs arrived, towards the top end of the 3rd tier. So we scrape a 1-0 win over established Conference team Grimsby, so what, they have also been turned over at home this season by Macclesfield Town, Lincoln City (remember them from last week? Pub team), Kidderminster Harriers, Southport and Torquay. Jeez, the way the happy clappers are celebrating I had to check yesterday's results, I thought we have just returned, triumphant after a 8-0 away win at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. so do you cheer the team on? celebrate goals? sing the songs? whats your approach on match days ? are you grim faced waiting for us to be 7th in league 1?

Nope, as I've said before, I'm not going to further divide fans with name and shame of 'some'. I don't have to explain to you or anyone else. I earmarked coastalgas as an example, as everything I have read has been less than supportive. So, the some will just have to remain if the cap fits.. And again, you're mistaken. And have missed the point. You can like or dislike DC and remain critical or supportive. One doesn't necessarily mean the other. While I have you in captive audience, countygroundhotel (where I spent many a happy hour drinking), I would be interested in your comments on Saturday? ...and why do you think my title has not been answered by coastalgas?

Can you or anyone demand better than an away win at Grimsby? You're right, there truly is no greater high.

For a forum to work, you need people of differing opinions and outlooks. On here I see a few 'rose tinters' as they seem to be known, a bigger group who are happy to praise/criticise according to how things are going and finally a significant number who will only be happy when we are back in league 1. The final group is made up of people who can't see past the board's failings and also what has happened on the pitch in the last 5-6 years. This group frustrates frustrates me as it does the original poster but you will never change people's outlook so I would suggest the original poster should concentrate on giving a balanced opinion on what he/she sees. This forum would be a pretty boring place if we all agreed all the time.

This forum would be a pretty boring place if we all agreed all the time. me, I think its more balanced than that especially since the closure of the OF. This forum traditionally had people who had been ostracised, alienated, threatened with legal summons, or simply banned. This naturally lead to it appearing to be anti-club whereas in fact it had many people who wanted the best for the club especially in the way it was run. Whilst there have been some contentious threads about administration the vast majority of fans still want the club to do well. As I said though I think in general the forum has become more rounded. The issue with forums is that they will always be judged by those who shout loudest or post most and as can be seen by this thread they will give the appearance of polarised views whereas in fact the majority of fans simply want what is best for the club. Success on the field leading to us getting back to where the fans feel we should be (that varies) and if possible improvement in the management off of it. At the moment we are still at the first stage.
