Final home match of the season. A relief for many I'm sure been a disappointment by and large. Some welcome goals from Rovers against play off club to test how far we have to improve to do a Similar thing next season. Posh top scorers in league one with 84 means our defence will be tested today for sure.
Enjoy the match. UTG
Ps be interesting if JCH starts and as a former player scores against us. Was good for us.

Last home game. Hope we get to see a few Gas goals today. Goals from unlikely players would be nice, like Hoole, Gordon and Jevani Brown. In truth, cannot see us getting anything from today’s game.

Meaningless game for us other than pride, let's hope we show some. Would be nice to get a win against a team I have little affinity for. UTG

We have played Peterborough United 49 times, biggest win 4-0, losses 5-2 & 5-4 and all the draws were 0-0, 1-1 or 2-2. Peterborough United were founded in 1934, they are known as the Posh and they play at london road which has a capacity of 15,314. Darren Ferguson is in his 4th stint as manager, he has won the premier league with MU when he played under his daddy Alex Ferguson. Peterborough United are nicknamed "The Posh", a moniker coined in 1921, after Pat Tirrell, manager of Fletton United, was reported to say he was "Looking for posh players for a posh new team". Portside Out Starboard Home ( POSH a Pub on London Road founded in 1932 demolished 1990s.) According to the Football Fans Census, Cambridge United were considered to be the club's main rival. The Cambridge rivalry, known as the Cambridgeshire derby. Northampton Town are the club's traditional rival. Other rivals are Huddersfield Town, MK Dons and Lincoln City. Ex-gas player Jonson Clarke-Harris played 49 games for BRFC scoring 27 goals over a 2 season period... Managers of note were: George Swindin, Jimmy Hagan, Noel Cantwell, Darren Ferguson and the big gun himself Barry Fry. Highest transfer fee received: A fee around £7m (rising to £10m) from Brentford for Ivan Toney, August 2020 Highest transfer fee paid: A fee exceeding £1.25m to Bristol City for Mo Eisa, June 2019. Peterborough United are sitting pretty in 4th place and BRFC are in 14th... A clean sheet or a win today would both be minor miracles and a point would be most acceptable. Meaningless game for us other than pride... Uncle Jeff, I could not disagree with you more! Most teams, most seasons, are neither promoted nor relegated, and win no trophy. League table position is not meaningless! Wigan and Charlton can both still overtake us (then in 16th): very disappointing. We can still overtake Exeter, Wycombe, Northampton, and Leyton Orient (for tenth): very appealing. Neither extreme are very likely, but it's nothing like meaningless.

Bad news Chris Martin suspended 4 matches retrospective red card v Cambridge violent conduct. Will be sorely missed.

We're fourteenth, with only 36% possession so far. But one goal and we're top half, at the moment.

Defending let us down for the goal.
Deserved lead for Peterborough.
Brown looks lost upfront.

Brown looks lost upfront. Sadly this comes as no surprise.

Brown looks lost upfront. Sadly this comes as no surprise. Because he isn't a striker? He is having to play there because Martin let himself and the club down.
