We played Stevenage at home in October and drew 1-1, Saturday's foe Northampton we played at home in October and won 2-1.
We also played Portsmouth away and got point 1-1, so we do pull out good results.

Just got back... From a jittery iFollow.
Didn't really get to see all the match, but it looked like AE pulled a master stroke m o m performance with an assist and sublime goal. That's a couple of good knocks now.
A totally astonishing turn around after being 2-0 down, dead and buried.... and rightly so. Some of our defending is reflective of the children they look like.
I'm sorry Baggot, I've seen nothing to make me think he can handle the 3rd division play yet, similar for Vaughan. Bags rightly subbed, I think MT got the the starting line up wrong again, but credit to change it so quickly. Will he learn for another stern test on Saturday?
Absolutely brilliant play and finishing to bring home a very welcome 3 points, and at same time knocking Stevenage out of the play offs.
Credit to Keeper who again produces some stunning saves.
But from what I could see we ended the match with 8 players as Sincs and Vaughan were just passengers, not much use with Conteh being sent off.
A spark there for the travelling faithful and lovely to see celebrations on the goals in front of them, together with the team.

Steve Evans rues complacency from his Stevenage side after Bristol Rovers' comeback victory..by Daniel Hargraves.Steve Evans has admitted that his Stevenage team got complacent and had enough chances to beat Bristol Rovers after the Gas came from 2-0 down to dramatically win 3-2 at the Lamex Stadium on Tuesday night. Goals from Kane Hemmings and Jake Forster-Caskey within the opening 24 minutes foreshadowed a long evening for Rovers but a formation and personnel change from Matt Taylor soon after conceding the second goal completely changed the game for the visitors in Hertfordshire. Elkan Baggott was withdrawn for Scott Sinclair as the Pirates went to a back-four and suddenly started finding more space in the final third and looked a different beast at the back. A cracking finish from Luke Thomas before half-time got the Gas back into the contest before second half goals from Chris Martin and Antony Evans, who netted a stunner, completed the comeback. Stevenage weren't without their chances though with Jed Ward worked well but the Boro couldn't hold on to what initially appeared to be a significantly comfortable advantage. "We just got complacent," the Stevenage head coach confessed post-match to the club's media. "They get the goal completely against the run of play to bring themselves back in the game. We started on the front foot and were comfortable at half-time and at the start of the second half there's no issue in the game. Then there's a big decision in the game with their boy Evans, who's a really good player, scores a really good goal and makes one, should be off. He's come into a number of fouls but one particular one on the edge of their box. "They get the goal because central defensively we let a really good striker get across and score a goal. The third one is a great strike but it's fair to say that second half we were way off the pace. Whether that was the shock of them getting the goals because they were simply not in the game. i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article30735010.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200e/0_Stevenage-vs-Shrewsbury-Town-Sky-Bet-EFL-League-1-Football-the-Lamex-Stadium-Stevenage-Hertford.jpg"We've missed four or five big chances. Probably a couple more on top of that. Total dominance. I think the stats are that they've been in our box six times in the game when in reality they've scored three goals. One's a great strike and sometimes you say you should be closing him down quicker and should stop the movement before he gets an opportunity to pull the trigger. Yes we should but where he puts it probably no goalkeeper in the world saves it. "It's the other two goals that I'm more disappointed with. We send someone in on the inside and he fires it in. It's a good finish in fairness from the boy Thomas. The second goal, central defensively, we shouldn't let Chris Martin across the near post but we do." Antony Evans' position in the game did look to be under threat after collecting a yellow card in the first half before conceding a foul that appeared to be met with a final warning from referee Sunny Singh Gill. The Rovers captain then of course changed the game with the assist for Martin's goal and the beauty of a strike of his own. However, for Stevenage the game will be seen as a missed opportunity as they continue their impressive quest to finish in the play-offs against the odds following their promotion from League Two last season. The opportunities were there for the Boro though which will be the most frustrating aspect of the defeat for them having had 20 shots with six on target compared to the Gas' six with four on target. "We were very bright first half," Evans added. "But we've, I don't know whether it's a little chink in the chain where we're so far in command that we take our foot off it a little bit and we don't put the game to bed. I think we're unlucky not to be 3-0 up instead of 2-1 at half-time, maybe even more, but we don't take those chances. "When it goes 2-1 and 2-2, the momentum goes with the team that's come from 2-0 down and that's every game of football. It's a stunning goal. "Everyone writes us off but we've done that at the start of the season and last season. We'll regroup, try and learn from it and go to Derby and for me take on one of the two-best teams in the league. Them and Pompey. "There's no excuses tonight. We should be winning the game."

Both were busy and gave their full backs something to think about and Sincs especially played a major part in the turn around after Baggott was withdrawn. Vaughan also came very close to wriggling free and being clean through on goal in his short cameo. Agree with you about Baggott. Doesn't win enough in the air for a big man and several times last night planted a free header straight to one of their players. Having said that we were incredibly poor defensively first half and he is young and raw so may come good with time. Crama made lots of unforced errors and gave the ball away loads in first 45 too but really improved second half

Any statos out there know when we last turned around a 2-0 scoreline? I can't recall one off the top of my head. Were we 2-0 down at home in GC era 2019, and won 4-2? I wanted to say home to someone really awful that got relegated that season? EDIT: Gas 4-2 Southend United. 2-0 down after 30 mins. Jch led the way for a Gas win ...

The last comeback from 2-0 down away from home that I recall was a memorable day as a 14 year old at Notts County in 1971. Notts County 2 -3 Rovers. I can't think of one since ! not to say there hasn't been one.

The following week was the 2-1 away win at Ipswich and it's been nothing but fun ever since. Before that Sarfend game I had kindly been given the opportunity to speak with Wael, Tom G and Martin Starnes. They talked about their vision for the future and how Rovers would become a sustainable and successful football Club. I outline all the major points made in relation to meeting that objective below.

A trio to be remembered for their vision and sustainability, one forced to sell a controlling interest, another demoted and stripped of any authority and one sacked.
