I'm not quite as pessimistic as Bambi, but he has a point. The 'Plan' is flawed. 1. To unearth these fantastically talented footballers we are in competition with a host of other Clubs. Over time our facilities have become increasingly unattractive. Why would a young player come here to help pick fox sh*t off of a field we don't even own before commencing training? IMHO the fact that we lack of our own Training Facility is even more damning than our inadequate Stadium, that has long been unfit for purpose. 2. Should we strike it lucky - then the talent is off as soon as we attract a decent bid, or even a crap bid (Bodin). Or they run down their contract and leave for nothing (Lockyer). I actually like the look of what Ben Garner is trying to achieve given the current situation. All we are short of is two decent full-backs, two players to replace Ginelli and JML when their loan period finishes, and a decent creative mid-fielder. Piece of piss. Given the over-whelming odds that Ben Garner faces - I'm backing him. Logic dictates the chances of success are slim. But I'm still backing him. UTG & Keep The Faith. Good post. Just one thing, though. How would a £10million training complex prevent foxes defaecating on the pitches? Err... "fences" perchance?

Great, even better as we can sign all the cheap 6ft cloggers we need as that is the only way to play football in the bottom 2 divisions apparently

He doesn't rate Ben Garner, although they share initials.
He really needs to take up walking football or something, preferably where foxes dare to tread.

The playing surface is good. Apart from that, I'm struggling a bit. Even that big screen, which we made a right song and dance about getting installed and commissioned, is on the blink already.

We’ve got s**t all chance of doing anything because the owner sabotaged it! We were in 4th and competing for promotion until the owner inexplicably hired a man with no management experience whatsoever! Who honestly does that?! Competing for promotion to the championship has only happened twice in my 20+ years of following Rovers, that’s how rare these opportunities are and this year we had a great chance but it was pissed away first by Coughlan and then by our feckless owner who blatantly doesn’t fancy it. Now, after a brief interlude, we have gone right back to Classic Rovers where everything IS s**t: s**t facilities, s**t ground and now s**t results and a (seemingly) s**t manager. The owner has to take his share of the blame for that.

I assume the atrocious weather conditions may have played a part in the screen malfunctioning for a period during the game. But of course let's just write that off as another crap job from your bestie Mr Gorringe

Ooops. That lead to the best 4 years of my supporting life.

Anyway, you do know the full story of the total farce of getting the thing installed, power to it, signal to it so that it worked, why we have perimeter advertising boards? I'm guessing not or you wouldn't be pressing the subject.

The Screen didn't work for a period of the game (was fine by the end) for some reason
I am just saying the atrocious weather that has flooded half the country MAY have played a part, whilst you are acting like it is completely knackered by a small rain shower or something.
Would have been better or more acceptable if someone's trampoline had blown into it and broken it
