No no no no no Darlo
You must understand, I was speaking metaphysically
Simply trying to underline the camaraderie one expects at this sort of social gathering. All pals together an all that. You can’t expect a man in my position to lash out on hospitality like it was going out of fashion.
I mean, a pint, that’s nearly an armful !

Supporters meeting in a pub, however well intentioned it is meant, makes me question whether this is the right way to go about things. I personally think your views could be voiced attending either the clubs open forum meeting (July?) or the supporters club EGM (17th June) whereby Higgs and Darrel Clarke will be in attendance, so effectively you will be able to speak to them directly rather than just amongst yourselves. Hello There ! The meeting on June 17th will only welcome SC members so not everyone can attend. The Open forum meeting is in July ?? But no date yet perhaps they might decide on August or September - there's no rush is there we've only dropped into The Non-League. Sometimes it might be a good idea to grab the bull by the horns and set up your own meetings rather than having to wait for the club to get their act together. I don't know what do you think. Whatever you think - supporters (Gasheads) getting together why is that such a bad thing and I promise you one thing you won't find the meeting boring ! See you there ! Mark

Another meeting I'm not invited to then. Cant stand the supporters club, undecided on buying a season ticket and I'm critical of the board :-( Hello Dinsdale, "the board Bashing reference" has been taken out of context here i think. I am very critical (at times) of what has and hasn't been done by the club in the last few years but what I can't understand and feel is below the belt is the personal insults against them. Afterall, they are supporters just like you and me, aren't they ? Personally, I would like to see a shake up at board level but it should be the view of the majority in any action/protest/pressure group that should hold sway, don't you agree? I hope you'll come along it would be good to put a face to a name Mark

I don't think there is much disagreement among Gasheads that enough is enough and change is needed. There will however, be disagreement on how change is achieved.
I only see positives in Gasheads discussing things in an environment that is not controlled or censored. Well done for organising it Mark.
I do however, believe that to make any real headway then any group/s outside of the BRFC or BRSC framework need to be united. Multiple and disparate groups of Gasheads will be easy for the BoD to dismiss or pick off.
While Mark's meeting has not been organised by BRISA, I am sure they will be represented at the meeting and will outline the plans for BRISA.
BRISA is in it's infancy and like any other pressure group will only be successful if it is set up correctly, has the right people running it and most importantly as many Gasheads behind it as possible.

After all if Boycie really gave a s**t about us why did he disappear when we ended up at Twerton.

Personally I think small splinter groups, however well intentioned, will have little impact and just fizzle out, options have been offered to supporters to voice their opinions by the club and I think in all fairness we should meet them half way ..... afterall they are not the enemy.

The Bod have offered a Q and A sometime in July. How about a confirmation. As for the SC EGM, this was arranged but they wernt even sure why they were/are doing it. If Mark and BRISA can get together and form some sort of unified voice then it might give some credibility going into the EGM

I only shared my thoughts on splinter groups ....... and I am sure the SC EGM are more than aware why they have arranged it and this should be taken seriously ....... and that's my opinion for what its worth.

Hello Brange,
Who's running a splinter group ? And a splinter group to what ?
Hope you will come next Tuesday meet other (probably new to you) Rovers supporters and then you will have the facts and can form your own full opinion. Cheers,
Mark

The SC said themselves that they agreed an EGM and then were going to flesh out the reasons for doing so. I get the impression they wernt that bothered to begin with in organising an EGM. I eagerley await what sort of response is generated to potentially posing questions to the club. I get the impression the SC are happy to hide behind Brian and Ken, and that is one reason the roles are now worthless in my opinion

The SC is the FC's official fan club. No different to, for example, the official One Direction Fan Club.
I've never seen them as anything different. You can hardly expect such a body to hold the FC to account, they are part of the FC.
