Shamelessly nicked from the Barnet forum! Basically, this shows certain landmarks based on past seasons, where everyone is in relation to them etc. Brackets are games in hand on Rovers. The 'predicted' markers are based on the table at statto.com hereObviously the championship/play offs/safety markers will fall as teams drop points - you'll need far less than 101 points to make the play offs! But as the weeks go by it will become clearer. Any questions, see me after class 105 2011 Champions - Crawley Town 104 103 2012 Champions - Fleetwood Town 102 101 2014 Champions - Luton Town 100 99 2010 Champions - Stevenage 98 97 96 Barnet mximum/certain Champions 95 2013 Champions - Mansfield Town 94 93 92 91 90 89 Predicted Champions 88 Predicted Runner-up 87 86 85 84 83 82 81 80 79 78 Barnet +41,0 77 Bristol Rovers +23,0; 2012 Play-offs 76 Predicted Play-offs 75 2014 Play-offs 74 73 2011 Play-offs 72 Grimsby +28,1 71 Macclesfield +14,0; 2013 Play-offs 70 69 68 67 2010 Play-offs 66 Forest Green +20,0 65 64 Eastleigh +19,1 63 62 Woking +20,1 61 60 Halifax +13,2 59 58 57 Gateshead +10,3 56 Dover +11,2 55 54 Chester -9,0 53 Lincoln -7,1 52 Kidderminster -4,0; 2014 Safety 51 Wrexham -2,3 50 Torquay +3,2; Altrincham -16,0 49 Braintree +3,2 48 47 2012 Safety; 2011 Safety; 2010 Safety 46 Predicted Safety 45 Aldershot -11,0; 44 Southport -18,1; 43 42 Alfreton -26,1 41 40 39 38 37 Welling -21,1 36 35 Nuneaton -33,1 34 33 32 Dartford -28,2 31 30 29 28 27 26 Telford -30,2

Think the play off places will be a lot lower this season due to how tight it is. 73 points should do it.

Few teams with games to play due to cup runs/weather but there seems to be a fair amount of faffing about by the sides just below us as they play musical chairs and drop points left right and centre

Updated to 21/3
Things I've noticed: It looks set to be the lowest Champions' points total in some years. Possibly because it's actually competitive and nobody has walked it. If the statto.com predictions are close to reality then 90+ points WILL win the league We have already passed the predicted play offs marker and are level with the highest play offs total of the last five years The bottom four are pretty much screwed

Those stats do appear to suggest that we are safely in the playoffs with the points we have.
That, in itself, is an amazing achievement although we all want the title now!

I'm a fan of stats but this seems to leave me cold, espec in respect to Barnet & us. It seems quite meaningless to me, re Barnet & us, as we are so close and the points that previous champions got will be pointless this season. There is no runaway / 100+ point leader.
Interesting maybe for things like how many points teams went down on, or got into the play-offs with. I know gasheads are rather pessimistic but to even dream about NOT getting in the play-offs seems quite mad to me.
sorry,I don't wish to be negative. I'll move along now...

I agree the remaining fixutre for the top 3 sides if more relevent, I sense we'll drop points in 2 games as I can't see us winning all 6 of the remaining games that will give us 91 pts, which might still not be good enough to give us the championship.

On that note credit to both Barnet and Rovers on doing so well in a short space of time in this division, i think we both feared we would be mid-table obscurity on our relegation day. Many teams have struggled on relegation down to the non league but both teams have done very well. Of course neither are yet guaranteed anything what so ever but there are more positives then negatives this season, which i think after previous seasons we can all agree is a pleasant change

I can see Dover being the potential banana skin. I've grown in confidence over the Macclesfield game in recent weeks due to their poor recent form and our fantastic performance on Friday. Dover, however, look to be back in the from which saw them fly up the table and turn their attentions from relegation, to the playoffs. I think our remaining games will be: Macclesfield 1-2 Rovers Rovers 2-0 Chester Kidderminster 0-3 Rovers -Kidderminster in horrendous form. Rovers 2-1 Southport Dover 1-1 Rovers Rovers 2-0 Alfreton That is 93 points, would see us win the league (providing Barnet drop points in 2 games (most likely would be Halifax and Gateshead.))

Don't be sorry, it's just a bit of fun and hopefully gives a bit of context to the discussions about what's going to happen next! It's interesting to me that the predicted champions/runners up points totals have converged so much over the past few weeks - now just one point in it and reflects how tight it's got at the top. Reinforces the fact that one slip up from someone could lose the title now. I said on another thread that Barnet would need to put together their longest unbeaten run of the season to shut out the daylight on us. They could well do that of course but going on past form this season, it's we that have shown we can put winning runs together of 5/6 games. Repeat that and the opposition will have to match it with something special Goal difference is now irrelevant unless we start smashing teams out of sight. It's higher points total or bust now.
