Well done Fleetwood, they worked hard, closed us down at every opportunity and took advantage of two shocking defensive errors As for us, it was a dire performance in dire conditions. There was simply no cohesion and a lack of effort by some. In short, a very professional performance by Fleetwood and a thoroughly unprofessional one by us. This season is officially well and truly over and as rideintothesun has said, let's secure our League status then immediately start planning for next. Averaging 1.33 ppg and in a lot better shape now than under the previous manager. Absolutely no way we are going down. Obviously no room for complacency. A number of players looking to be retained in the summer, looking to prove themselves and I reckon a mid-table finish. Better than last season and a platform to build on.

I would normally be cautious in predicting a win, but I think our new boys and Super Jed will drag us kicking and screaming towards victory….2-0 to the Gas. I should know better after 50 years.

Christ. Post describing Crema as usually collosal. They realise we've kept one clean sheet since about 1987.

Another platform to build on. Another rebuild. Great. More pre season excitement at signings who turn out to be #####.

First hint of criticism of Taylors team selection and tactics against a very physical Fleetwood side and atrocious weather conditions.

Taylor has highlighted the weakness in the teams ability to perform well when games come close together due to the fitness levels of most of them. Players coming back from injury nowhere near match fit, others trying to make up for that running themselves into the ground. This all goes back to the ponderous square and backwards 65% possession s**te B***** had them playing compared to the more forceful style Taylor is demanding. B***** left a shambles that will do well to get 52 points or better that will get this season out of the way and the opportunity for Taylor to get a decent preseason into whoever we have for next season.

There will inevitably be rebuilds every season from now on given how many loans and short-term contracts are now issued. At least it makes for a semi interesting summer with incomings and outgoings.

People always mention the fitness whenever a new manager comes in. Ironically B***** did it with preceding regimes, and claimed that it was he who brought it up to scratch. He even brought in a major, no doubt with a view to instilling some military discipline into flaky civilians. B***** further exacerbated the problem by signing ageing professionals and players with extensive injury problems (sometimes both), meaning it is unlikely these players will play more than 20-30 games a season, and that we will have players coming in and out of the team, with obvious implications for continuity. Five young loan players against a group of hardened Fleetwood cobblers is like a recipe for a 2-0 home defeat on a wet and windy Tuesday night.

Woods was a 'ginger Pirlo'. Westbrooke was supposed to be the missing piece of the jigsaw. Ehmer was hyped to the stars. And don't get me started on Chris Dickson.....

The clothes I was wearing on Tuesday night, still haven`t dried out. I`m starting to doubt that the waterproofs I bought in the market in Marrakech, are genuine Gore-Tex.
