What a finish!! I couldn`t have been more excited if I`d woken up next to Lana Del Rey. Time to do my bit, to support the local cider industry.

Remarkable victory and superb performances by all the players and measured post match interview by Matt Taylor. Thought Thomas Taylor and Vale were our best players.
A real Christmas cracker.

McCormick and Rossiter may struggle to get into the team when they return.Love the managers interviews.Got booked due to his sheer enthusiasm it seems.

Loving MTs post match interviews. I didn't realise he'd got booked for celebrating a last minute winner, as good a reason as any I suppose.

Big occasion for me today, as this game marked 50 years to the day since I first saw Rovers play. - 26/12/1973 - Bristol Rovers 4 Plymouth Argyle 2 (Att. 22,353). - 26/12/2023 - Bristol Rovers 2 Portsmouth 1 (Att. 9,176 full house)
I don't remember anything of the match in 1973, but I do recall sitting on my dad's shoulders in the South Enclosure at Eastville. Sadly dad wasn't well enough to come to The Mem today, but if he was able I'm not sure he'd be pleased with me sat on his shoulders. :-)

This was to end at Wrexham in Feb 1974. Promotion followed in May. Also Argyles 19 year old striker Paul.Mariner scored their late goal. Of course he moved onto Ipswich Town and played for England. So your debut was a quite remarkable occasion.

I couldn’t help but agree with some of the travelling fans chants yesterday -
“There’s only one team in Bristol!” Correct, you’re playing them
“Come on you blues!!” Correct, your lot are wearing peach
And to a warming up Ryan Wood “you’re just a s**t Ron Weasley!” The jury is still out on that one

Can anyone remember us scoring from a free kick under you know who ? Saw Wayne Carlisle score from a free kick at the Mem.Andy Collett ex Gas was in goal for Darlo and I was amazed when Andy Rammell bundled him over and the goal stood!!! Ray Graydon was manager.

Can’t remember much about the game other than we weren't very good but can remember the atmosphere and cigar smoke as if I could step back into it today
